Art Journaling

This mindful and nurturing workshop invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself through a blend of art and reflective writing. Using both words and images, you’ll explore gentle ways to express thoughts and emotions—allowing each to support and deepen the other.Held with care and sensitivity, and informed by my background in psychology, this session offers a safe, non-judgmental space where there is no pressure to perform or “get it right.”

What to expect:

Held with care and sensitivity, and informed by my background in psychology, this session offers a safe, non-judgmental space where there is no pressure to perform or “get it right.”

We’ll begin with a short guided drawing exercise to help you feel grounded and present, before moving into intuitive art-making that encourages completion rather than perfection.

You’ll explore a variety of mixed media techniques such as inks, paints, stamps, stencils, and collage. These tactile processes help engage the senses, often easing overthinking and creating a sense of calm.

Alongside the art, I’ll share gentle prompts and simple templates designed to support a healthier, more positive mindset—especially helpful when you’re not sure what to write.  The small group size (maximum four participants) creates a quiet, focused atmosphere where you can move at your own pace and feel supported throughout.

This workshop is for you if you:

  • Feel mentally busy, stressed, or overwhelmed

  • Worry about making mistakes or breaking a page

  • Don’t consider yourself artistic but want to explore creativity

  • Struggle with negative thoughts or emotions

  • Feel unsure what to write in a journal

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with completed art journal pages and simple practices you can return to at home for grounding, clarity, and gentle self-care. All materials and refreshments are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own sketchbook if you wish- that will give you a discount! No sketchbook? No worries. You can take home your completed pages and later add them to your own journal whenever it feels right.
